K9 Duke
This is the ninth candle of our K9 Collection inspired by K9 Duke from the Menlo Park Police Department in California.
Duke is a six-year-old European Doberman Pincher Police K9 who serves the community of Menlo Park, California. Duke was named the official mascot of the Doberman Pincher Club of America (DPCA) in 2016 and recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) as the Human Fund Awards for Canine Excellent Uniformed Service K9 for 2017.
K9 Duke is the Partner of Sergeant Ed Soares and assigned to the Special Enforcement Unit. Since his incorporation into his unit, he has been credited for numerous arrests, the confiscation of hundreds of thousands of dollars of narcotics, and getting numerous dangerous firearms taken off the streets. Duke is certified through the Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) and the California Narcotics Canine Association (CNCA) in the detection of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, MDMA, and marijuana.
Duke is not only a Police dog but a social media influencer, a movie star, the face of Fox + Hounds Duke's Paw Butter, Brand Ambassador For Eukanuba, and K9 Tactical gear. Duke has become a wonderful ambassador for law enforcement due to his ability to connect with the public, especially children. Our favorite pictures and stories are when Sgt. Soares and K9 Duke visit schools and hospitals around California and conduct meet and greets with children.
The Scent for this exciting New K9 Candle is Black Salt + Whiskey. This complex blend is different than the usual whiskey scent. It features dark and stormy notes of whiskey, cognac, bourbon, and wine. The sweet scent combines with the Black Salt for an undercurrent of amber and vanilla.
